The night of the Fleche D'or gig in Paris included Theme Park, FRIENDS,and myslef.
The evening was in fact a night of friends. Long lost friends. Sammy the lead singer of friends caught me off guard in a honest way. Back when I first arrived in Brooklyn I befriended Sammy and at the time she was attending art school. Years later at a gig in Paris I come to find FRIENDS headlining the gig The Guys at Coop put together. It was as is gazing into the future mirror. We were both elated to see one another and at the same time shit cold and tired. By the end of the night we sat on a couch at the bar next door looked at one another with eyes of wishing.

During Theme Parks soundcheck I went off to Père Lachaise for an interview with Konbini.

Day 4:The London Riots

The aftermath of The London Riots is simmering, but I could be wrong and all that is really happening is a moment to recharge. I haven't been outside of the flat to gaze upon the aftermath, but it is not far from my door step. Lots of propaganda on the internet and else where attempting to fuel the fear, but not really working on my end. After a few days of extensive traveling I am happy so say I am back on the ground in London Town.

The events that use to be happened so quickly yet remain in my memory. Tales of love told through the air-o-plane's movie screen. L'amour t'was I experienced as the distance from the land shown its face. Longing for my love was vaguely substituted by the gigs of the day. There were lots of connection made through the music. Possible talks of another James Blake and Marques Toliver tale in the possible European future.

Completed my 3 day support tour with Wild Beasts!

The tour took place in America. The plane landed in Philadelphia and as soon as I walked of the aircraft I could instantly feel the vast temperature change compared to London. Philly was so hot and humid, felt like Floridian heat. Jumped on a train to take me to Rittenhouse Square were I met up with Alyssa. Crashed at Alyssa during my one in a half day stay. The following day I did an interview/performance with WXPN Radio. That session was recorded in a studio. The auto harp was plugged in for the set but I opted to let the violin sing out naturally with amplification coming only from my vocal mic. The interview should hit the air ways and internet in the upcoming months. Next on the list was to do a sound check and play the show at The World Cafe. As for the my performance that night I felt as if it was a 3 on scale from 1 to 5.

After the show, managed to set aside some time to work and jam with local Philly artist, Jamil Kayin. He makes music and rides a mean bike. Here's a link to his music.http://www.jamilkayin.com

The next morning I toke the Megabus to New York City and the first place I visited was good old Brooklyn. Met up with friends in Williamsburg and made my way over to Le Poisson Rogue for soundcheck.While in New York I played Le Poisson Rogue 2 nights in a row. The performance was also streamed live on the venues website. On the night of the first New York gig friends from high school traveled from DC and Charlottesville, Virginia.

There were only three dates for me to play with the band because I play the Latitude Festival in the UK July 17.

Headed to America tomorrow to play in Philadelphia and New York City. Yesterday I returned from Paris, France and immediately travled to Oxford for a brief appearance at a music festival called The 9 Muses. The setting was cute but was destroyed thanks to a few of the band members of the band that played after me. The bass players vibe was very brown in color like the stinky stuff dogs leave behind once relieving themselves. He and his friend apologised after my set but, what good does that serve. I suppose you can't win them all. LOL. Up until that point at the festival I was enjoying myself and will do my best to reflet on the events prior to the silver spandex attired bass player and his blonde surfer like friend.

The next I arose to make my way to Lounge on the Farm Music Festival locate in Canterbury. Didn't show up to the gig on time and as a result, had to be wedged onto another stage. The audience payed attention and bought some merch. so I can't complain.

Tomorrow I fly to America for a quick 3 day support tour with Wild Beasts. The first gig is in Philadelphia at the World Cafe. After Philadelphia I'm back to my third home, New York City.

After the Brighton gig at The Komedia, I played the XOYO in London. The place was a little hard to find, but I suppose you are on the scene a lot the location of the venue is prime location. For me it was a little bit off the beaten path. Showed up to find Vetiver and the Tree Top Flyers had began making themselves comfortable. The venue had new and familiar faces.Introduced myself to the promoter and sound engineer for the night. The sound guy and I had worked together at a previous London gig, but I couldn't honestly remember. He did resemble Susan Mayer's husband from the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate House Wives.

During my set I played songs off the Ep followed by tunes from my past present and future. I opened the show with 'Try Your Best', a song I play on glockenspiel and violin at times. I'm looking forward headlining at the The Tabernacle in September because then I'll have full band. Expecting to put together a hand full of artists to be apart of the ensemble. There's also talks of taking an ensemble to the Latitude and Truck Festivals this month. One of the most surprising moments happened later that night at the merch table.

I was surprised to see Desmond and Patrick, two friends from Florida standing near the edge of where I was selling my records. During my brief 2 years at University, Desmond and I were students at Stetson University's music department. Pat and I met of campus through music buddies and the crew that played regularly at the Cafe Davinci. Because it had been such a long time since my last London gig I was delighted to have friends Will Cameron A.K.A. Glow Hearts, Emile Lucienne, Forest T, and Lucy Mason there. I was also surprised to find out that I had to fans travel all the way from Rome to the gig that night! All in all the show fly. My booking agent from CAA, Emma Banks was in attendance. Ema is like the Queen B when it to the realm of Booking Agents. I'll just say she's the booking agent to the STARS, Anyways I was told home girl was in the audience rocking out to the songs. Flattering. Thanks for coming to the gig Ms. Banks, it means a lot! After the show was over the bouncers tried to scurry us all out.

Afterwards, we all went to the flat to talk and hang. By the time we arrived to my place the sun was starting to rise. The idea to have Pat and Desmond play the Bliss Field's Festival came up and we all dug the sound of that. We quickly made a plan to rehearse the next morning with double bass and melodica. Friday was the day of the Festival and we managed to make it work. We played in a hand full of songs together and set off for London.

Patti LaBelle Assault Lawsuit — Surveillance Video

Via black Rule of thumb. If you're ever lucky enough to run into Patti LaBelle at the airport, make sure you give her enough space or be prepared to face her 'New Attitude.' The latter appears to have been the fate of a 23-year-old West Point cadet, who is reportedly now suing LaBelle following an alleged assault by her body guards in March.

ABC News reports that Richard King was standing next to LaBelle's luggage in the passenger pickup area outside George HW Bush intercontinental airport in Houston when LaBelle ordered her bodyguards to confront him.

"Apparently, defendant LaBelle believed King was standing too close to her luggage, even though he was oblivious to her presence and the danger he was in," the lawsuit states. "LaBelle lowered the window of her limousine and gave a command to her bodyguards. They sprang into action ... LaBelle is hot-tempered ... [and] was a full participant in the cruel attack on King. She ordered it, and never tried to stop it."

The suit went on to say that the Grammy Award-winner watched the vicious assault take place from the comfort of her limo.

King's lawyers released a surveillance video (see below) showing him being punched and thrown into a nearby pillar before fleeing the scene. King was reportedly sent by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a concussion.

"I remember waking up the next morning with staples in my head," he said. "I've never been in a fight in my life." According to a police report, King smelled of alcohol at the time of the incident. His lawyer confirmed that he had consumed a few cocktails on the flight to Houston but was not impaired.

King is suing LaBelle, three of her entourage, a taxi dispatcher and the airport for unspecified actual and punitive damages. LaBelle's team was unavailable for comment.

This Cosmic Jarvis seems to have the talent a.k.a. musicianship and lyrical content to gain a fan in me. The first song of his I heard was on youtube entitled Gay Sebastian. He's a songwriter that is unrestrained by the social norms of the past that currently hold minds in bondage. All in all, Cosmic Jarvis is a musician you all should check out if you haven't yet done so.

I was thinking about possible producers I'd like to work with on future. One of the producers that came to mind was Sean Garret. He's was the guy that produced "Goodies " for Ciara, "Run It" Chris Brown, and Fergie's Turns out not only is Mr.Garret responsible for Usher's hit song "Yeah" but he's also worked with 24 year Jesse McCartney. You may not be able to recall who Jesse McCartney but no one can old that against you. Jesse has been doing a lot of voice over work on projects such films like Alvin and the Chipmunks and etc. Anyways here the boy band Jesse you to be a part of. When I say the video all I could think of was prostitution.

Last night I dreamt that I was Steven Tyler. It was probably because I watched about 5 episodes of American Idol yesterday. In the dream I was transported into someone else's body. The plot began with a car trip and I was behind the steering wheel. The passenger's in the car were Kate Moss, my brother( who was kate Moss?), and a few other characters I can't recall.

The plan was to drive down to the boardwalk from Ormond to the one in Daytona Beach. I was frustrated because everyone else in the car thought it wouldn't take long to get to boardwalk on foot. I knew that it would take longer so decided to take the car. I was trying to make a right and turn in the car but it seemed impossible because no one would let me merge into to traffic. As a result we sat that for what felt like forever. Later on the dream there's a was an idea to stop of at this old guys house that owed one of the passengers in the car some money. Keep in mind that at this part of the dream i'm not Steven Tyler yet. As we approach the door the older guy behinds me presses the door bell. While ringing the bell the guy behind me tells me not to worry because I am the grandson of some guy.
Within the dream I felt a lost of identity because whenever i would l see my reflection in things it wouldn't be my face.

Waiting at the door and old woman answers. I ask if the gentlemen is home but she hesitates to answer. Directly behind here I could see the man. he was only a few feet behind her witha bath towel almost falling of his thigh as we walks up the stairs. She shrugs her shoulders and says that he's not home. By this time Kate and my brother get out the car and have barged inside. Throughout the change of events and altercation develops with the the the older gentlemen. Observing the whole thing it seems as though we weren't there to pick up money owed, as I was believed to think.

The couples who's house we visited also had a little white lap dog that ran after me in a viscous pursuit. In the yard the white petit dog leapt after me with gravity defying effortlessness. There was a sense of urgency about the entire altercation. There came a point when the setting of the story changed and all the passengers from the car were now transformed into various members of Aerosmith.We were at a college dorm and were looking for some girl. I'd go as far to say a daughter, perhaps. The dormitory was bizarre. The staircases were ascending and stop abruptly with no possible way of getting to the girl.

I first met L.A. one Sunday night at the Torriano in Kentish Town. Japa puts together a night were musicians come out to play. L.A. was there that night with his guitar. I didn't have the chance to listen to his live performance that night at the bar, but we did jam at my place. With that said, later on in the night all the musicians and friends that were at the Torriano were invited back to my flat. We picked up beers and headed to the house. It was a long night filled with music that lasted into the early hours of the morning. We all sat in the living exchanging songs and playing music with those around. I was impressed with young man's narratives and musical approach. Lianne La Havas played a few song followed by Sophie Higgins, myself, and Fiona Bevan (if my memory serves me right).
